Causal and stable reduced-order model for linear high-frequency systems

    Get PDF
With the ever-growing complexity of high-frequency systems in the electronic industry, formation of reduced-order models of these systems is paramount. In this reported work, two different techniques are combined to generate a stable and causal representation of the system. In particular, balanced truncation is combined with a Fourier series expansion approach. The efficacy of the proposed combined method is shown with an example

Additive generators based on generalized arithmetic operators in interval-valued fuzzy and Atanassov's intuitionistic fuzzy set theory

In this paper we investigate additive generators in Atanassov's intuitionistic fuzzy and interval-valued fuzzy set theory. Starting from generalized arithmetic operators satisfying some axioms we define additive generators and we characterize continuous generators which map exact elements to exact elements in terms of generators on the unit interval. We give necessary and sufficient condition under which a generator actually generates a t-nporm and we show that the generated t-norm belongs to particular classes of t-norms depending on the arithmetic operators involved in the defintion of the generator

Microwave small-signal modelling of FinFETs using multi-parameter rational fitting method

    Get PDF
An effective approach based on a multi-parameter rational fitting technique is proposed to model the microwave small-signal response of active solid-state devices. The model is identified by fitting multibias scattering-parameter measurements and its analytical expression is implemented in a commercial microwave circuit simulator. The approach has been applied to the modelling of a silicon-based FinFET, and an excellent agreement is obtained between the measured data and model predictions

Some geometrical methods for constructing contradiction measures on Atanassov's intuitionistic fuzzy sets

Trillas et al. (1999, Soft computing, 3 (4), 197–199) and Trillas and Cubillo (1999, On non-contradictory input/output couples in Zadeh's CRI proceeding, 28–32) introduced the study of contradiction in the framework of fuzzy logic because of the significance of avoiding contradictory outputs in inference processes. Later, the study of contradiction in the framework of Atanassov's intuitionistic fuzzy sets (A-IFSs) was initiated by Cubillo and Castiñeira (2004, Contradiction in intuitionistic fuzzy sets proceeding, 2180–2186). The axiomatic definition of contradiction measure was stated in Castiñeira and Cubillo (2009, International journal of intelligent systems, 24, 863–888). Likewise, the concept of continuity of these measures was formalized through several axioms. To be precise, they defined continuity when the sets ‘are increasing’, denominated continuity from below, and continuity when the sets ‘are decreasing’, or continuity from above. The aim of this paper is to provide some geometrical construction methods for obtaining contradiction measures in the framework of A-IFSs and to study what continuity properties these measures satisfy. Furthermore, we show the geometrical interpretations motivating the measures

Interval valued (\in,\ivq)-fuzzy filters of pseudo BLBL-algebras

We introduce the concept of quasi-coincidence of a fuzzy interval value with an interval valued fuzzy set. By using this new idea, we introduce the notions of interval valued (\in,\ivq)-fuzzy filters of pseudo BLBL-algebras and investigate some of their related properties. Some characterization theorems of these generalized interval valued fuzzy filters are derived. The relationship among these generalized interval valued fuzzy filters of pseudo BLBL-algebras is considered. Finally, we consider the concept of implication-based interval valued fuzzy implicative filters of pseudo BLBL-algebras, in particular, the implication operators in Lukasiewicz system of continuous-valued logic are discussed
